Axson commits after trip
Lakeland (Fla.) George Jenkins two-star inside linebacker Mozell Axson attempted to commit to Kansas a few days after he took an official visit to Kansas back on December 12.
The Jayhawks wouldn’t take his commitment because he wasn’t qualified yet.

However, that didn’t stop Louisville from taking him.
“I went ahead and committed to Louisville this weekend,” Axson, who is 6-foot-1 and 230 pound, said. “I guess I technically never committed to Kansas. I told the coaches that I wanted to come, but they wouldn’t accept my commitment until I was qualified.
“The coaches and people at Louisville made me feel right at home. They were really friendly, and the basketball game was one of the highlights.”
Axson said he’s finished with the recruiting process and will now turn his attention to attempting to reach a qualifying academic standard.
