Awuzie waiting for Pac-12 teams

Chidobe Awuzie has two Pac-12 offers but the San Jose (Calif.) Oak Grove cornerback wants to remain patient with the recruiting process because many other programs are getting involved.
"I don't really have any favorites but I'm looking hard at the Pac-12 schools that are recruiting me," Awuzie said.

The 6-foot, 180-pound three-star prospect has offers from Utah and Washington State and said Washington, UCLA, Cal and Colorado have been showing more interest so he doesn't want to rush a decision yet.
Awuzie, who also has offers from Colorado State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah State, said he wants to figure out whether any of those other Pac-12 programs are going to offer before he makes his commitment.
That's another reason why Awuzie has not set any official visits, either. He doesn't want to get locked in and then have to rethink things later if more offers come in.
Many prospects have already made their commitments and closed the book on the recruiting process but Awuzie seems happy taking things much slower.
He does not want to rush anything just yet.
"I'm still being patient with visits," Awuzie said.
"I want to hear more from those Pac-12 schools plus I don't want to set up anything too early. I want to wait until my senior season is done so I can really get to know the coaches and what they're thinking.
"I believe if the team really wants me they'll still be around. I want to be patient and if the team is still around then it's a good sign for me."
