Washington (D.C.) Ballou star Marvin Austin, the nation's No. 1 defensive tackle, took an unofficial visit to College Park this weekend.

"It was good, it was one of the best games I've seen there," said the 6-foot-2, 291-pounder. "The crowd was into it and the team showed they could win tough games. Florida State is one of my top schools and to see Maryland beat them was impressive."
Austin lists Maryland as one of his top six schools.
"Maryland, Florida State, Miami, Illinois, Tennessee and Southern Cal are my final schools," he said. "I'm visiting USC for their game against Notre Dame on Nov. 24 and I might see Tennessee this weekend when they play LSU. I've already been to Illinois and I've been to Maryland a bunch of times, so I still need to schedule FSU and Miami visits."
Austin had two sacks and five tackles in another Ballou win this past weekend. He won't be ready to decide on his college destination for a long time.
"Probably on Signing Day," he said. "There could be a few shakeups at the schools I like and I want to make sure I visit all of them so I'm taking my time."
