Ausberry will stay in-state

He was considered as much of a lock as there was in recruiting this year and things went according to plan when Lemoore (Calif.) wide out David Ausberry announced his commitment for USC during the Army All-American game.
Ausberry, 6-4, 215 pounds is one of the most physically gifted players in the nation with a college body right now. He was the state medium schools player of the year this past season after catching 36 passes for 633 yards and 10 touchdowns and added 277 yards rushing and 11 more scores.

"I've wanted to go to USC for a long time now," Ausberry said. "I just like everything about the school and feel so comfortable there. I never took an official visit there but I visited unofficially there several times, went to their Junior Day and camped with them over the summer.
"USC has a great tradition of playing big receivers and I think I'll fit in great with that offense. People have been comparing me to Mike Williams for the last few years and that's a big compliment because of what a great player he was. USC is the top program in the country right now and I'm excited about helping the school keep that going."
Ausberry took official visits to Georgia, Ohio State and Nebraska but was always considered a strong lean to USC since the summer.
