Offensive tackle Nyere Aumaitre is one of the most highly recruited prospects in New Jersey and he now has three leaders. Who sits atop his list?
"As things stand right now Nebraska, Ohio State and North Carolina would have to be my three leaders," said Aumaitre. "I have offers from all three of those, plus schools like Boston College, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Iowa, Pitt and Rutgers. I'm not going to rule teams out of the picture completely, but those three would have to be my favorites now."
Aumaitre is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle from Camden (N.J.) Woodrow Wilson and runs the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds. What will be the biggest factors in his decision?
"Location is going to be important, but not like you might think," he said. "I actually want to travel and get away from home for my college years. I want to play somewhere that's warm or at least moderate, but not hot. I wouldn't go anywhere like Florida. Class size is the most important academic factor, and the coaching staff of course."
When will he make a decision?
"I don't really know right now, but not for a little while at least. I want to take official visits to at least my three leaders, and I might take more. After that I'll have a better idea of when I'll want to commit."
