No player in the nation has been talked about more in the last 24 hours than four-star Rivavls100 athlete Justin McCay of Shawnee (Kan.) Bishop Miege.

Tuesday afternoon, McCay went on in Norman, Okla., and announced he was committing to Oklahoma over a host of national scholarship offers. SoonerScoop.com, the official Oklahoma team site for Rivals.com, talked with McCay later in the day on Tuesday, and he said he was "kind of committed" to the Sooners.
McCay explained to SoonerScoop.com that he did talk with Oklahoma's coaches about the commitment, but he left the door open for another school - Kansas State - to remain recruiting him.
"I committed to Oklahoma, but I'm staying open," McCay said. "I'm staying open to Kansas State. That's the only other school that I'm talking to. I knew what I was going to do this hasn't changed from the start. I'm staying open to Kansas State."
The news of McCay's commitment obviously sent shockwaves throughout the entire nation as programs like Florida, Notre Dame, Missouri, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee and Kansas were all actively courting the 6-foot-3, 197-pound prospect that is ranked as the nation's No. 34 player. But the news of the soft commitment sparked a tsunami of reaction from both Oklahoma and Kansas State fans.
The story continued to develop Wednesday morning when McCay's coach, former NFL offensive lineman Tim Grunhard, talked with Sports Radio 810 WHB in Kansas City about his star player's situation.
"Oklahoma is where I know he wants to go," Grunhard told The Border Patrol with hosts Steven St. John and Nate Bukaty. "He called coach Stoops yesterday and said 'I want to go to Oklahoma, but I want to keep my K-State option open.'
"I don't know really what that means. That's kind of where that sits right now. I believe he's going to make the right decision for him, and I believe that's probably going to be Oklahoma. But as of right now, he needs to make sure that he makes that clear to Oklahoma."
