Auburn WR staying in-state

Auburn, Ala. athlete Brandon Carlisle is one of the better athletes in South Alabama. Things have recently picked up for Carlisle and he has made his decision on where he'll spend the next four years.
"I took an official visit to UAB this weekend and I committed while I was there," Carlisle said. "I also had offers from Troy and Alabama A&M. At one time I had an offer from Louisville, but they let me know not too long ago that they didn't have any more room for me."

Carlisle had 13 catches for 271 yards and a touchdown as a receiver and 12 pass breakups and an interception at cornerback. He has also racked up over 20 tackles on the season.
"It was mainly the coaches and how well I got along with them on why I chose UAB," Carlisle said. "It is a very family oriented place, you just get that feel from being around the campus. It's also pretty close to home and I like that."
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound Carlisle attended the NIKE camp in Atlanta where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds, had a 4.41 second shuttle and had a 28-inch vertical jump.
