MIAMI, Fla. – Quarterback Keyone “Lyghtzout” Jenkins started catching the attention of multiple Power Five programs after an impressive senior year with Miami Central (Fla.). After a slow start to his recruitment, his patience and hard work paid off receiving an offer from his dream school last week. The Florida International commit landed an offer from Auburn, personally from head coach Cadillac Williams, committing to the War Eagles on Saturday.

Jenkins spoke about receiving the offer from the Tigers.

“It felt great,” Jenkins shared. “Hearing that I had the offer from my dream school, surprisingly it felt great. I didn't know how to feel.”

Last weekend Jenkins visited The Plains for the A&M game, that visit helped seal the deal.

“The experience was 10,000/10,” Jenkins said. “The fans, and the game was amazing. The crowd is crazy, fans love Auburn football. It’s like a hometown thing, you feel the love everywhere you go. It was great.”

The Miami Central quarterback was on an unofficial visit alongside his 2023 teammates Stanquan Clark and Rueben Bain. Clark, who was on an official visit, was glad to see the Tigers offer yet another one of his teammates.

“That was big, that's my teammate and my brother,” Clark said. “It’s his first Power Five offer, so it’s a big accomplishment for him.”

The Tigers 2023 recruiting class is ranked No. 46 nationally with 11 commits. Time will tell if Auburn also flips Louisville linebacker commit Clark and lands uncommitted four-star end Bain.
