In His Words: “I talk to a lot of different schools, Tennessee a lot, Georgia a lot, Clemson a lot, and Alabama and Auburn too.”

On Auburn: “I visited for a game their in the fall and it was fun. They had a ton of fans there and they were really into the game. I love it. I got there late so I didn’t get to talk to the coaches a lot beforehand but it was a really good atmosphere and I had a really good time.”

On the Tigers coaches: “Me and Coach Hand are really close but me and Coach Garner are really close too. We’ve been talking since my eighth grade year and we have a great relationship.”

On Tennessee: “Coach Walt Wells has been checking in on me and see how everything is going and stuff like that. I think they had a good season. They should have done a lot better than they did but for their circumstances I think it was pretty good”

On visiting Knoxville: “I went up there for the Florida game this season. That was a good game. I don’t know how to explain that one. It was an amazing game. It was one of the loudest games I’ve ever been to in my life. It was an electric atmosphere inside the stadium. I’m going to go back in the spring. I wanted to go back for a game late in the in year but we got deep in the playoffs and I didn’t have time.”

Rivals Reaction: Jones is a priority target in the 2019 class for the Tigers and the Vols and it will be interesting to see how his visits go this spring. Georgia will be a factor until the end and pulling him out of state won’t be easy for Auburn or Tennessee.
