Auburn or MSU for Spells

Less than 24 hours before signing day, reports have circulated that three-star Atlanta (Ga.) Mays defensive back Corey Spells has switched his commitment from Auburn to Mississippi State.
According to his high school coach, though, it’s too early to tell.

“He hasn’t made his decision,” Mays coach Darrell Caldwell said. “I’ve talked to him today, and he’s still trying to decide between Auburn and Mississippi State. I think he’s going to go home and think about it some more tonight, then make his announcement tomorrow. It could go either way.”
Spells (6-0, 186, 4.45) is rated the No. 38 cornerback in the nation by Rivals.com. He was part of a Mays defense that allowed only 51 points all season and no passing touchdowns.
As a senior, Spells capped his career with 98 tackles, 20 pass break-ups, five interceptions and two sacks.
He has one teammate heading to Auburn (Calvin Booker) and one going to Mississippi State (Demon Glanton), so his final decision should be good news to one of those friends.
