Receiver/safety John Dunlap has an official offer from Auburn, according to C-M coach Mark Guandolo, and could be poised for many more.
“He’s as fine an all-around athlete as I’ve had,” Guandolo said. “He’s 6-2, weighs 220, runs in the 4.5s. He’s the strongest kid we have on the team. He power cleans 300 pounds. He’s got a 40-inch vertical. He was an all-country basketball player as well, led our team in scoring. What more can you say?”
Dunlap is being recruited primarily as a wide receiver.
“He’s just so explosive,” Guandolo said. “He’s big and fast and has great hands. He’s the total package you look for in a receiver. But he's talented enough to play a number of different positions on the field.”
In addition to Auburn, Dunlap is receiving early interest from Miami, Florida, Florida State, Central Florida and South Florida, among others.
Dunlap is expected to be fully qualified, according to Guandolo.
