Auburn offer interests Skyline corner

Year in and year out, Dallas (Texas) Skyline has loads of talent that go on to play big-time college football. This year is no different and the headliner of the class looks to be cornerback Steve Williams. The 5-foot-10 cornerback is picking up offers by the day and while most of them have been from Big 12 country, one SEC school has caught his eye.
"Louisville, they offered me," Williams said. "I haven't talked to the coach yet. They talked to my coach and he had given me the number to call them. I've got a friend there Jacques Caldwell. I run track with him in the summer and he says it's pretty good there."

Williams also picked up an offer from Auburn out of the SEC and the offer has already moved the Tigers to the top of his list.
"I like Auburn," he said. "They might jump up into one of my top schools. I was actually waiting for them to offer. It's a pretty good program. They're in the SEC. They always send someone to the draft. They send someone to the NFL every year and the SEC is the best as far as conference."
Though he lives in the heart of Big 12 country, Williams is intrigued by the thought of playing in the SEC.
"I like the SEC," he said. "I was waiting for it. Now that they offered me, man it's kind of opened my eyes up to the SEC."
With offers coming on a weekly basis now, Williams still isn't taking it for granted.
"It's cool. Just being noticed is cool, knowing that I'm a good athlete. It's still exciting for me."
