Auburn offer catches Rivals250 WRs attention

Class of 2015 Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson wide receiver Dexter Neal has been committed to South Carolina since last spring, but that hasn't scared other big-time programs away from taking a run at the Rivals250 prospect.
Recently Neal added offers from the likes of Auburn, Georgia Tech and Wisconsin and said on of those schools definitely has his attention.

"Auburn, that's who caught my eye," Neal said. "I was pretty shocked at first. I had been talking to the coaches and they were telling me how they were going to come by and see me. When Coach Garner and Coach Craig came and told me I had the offer I was just in shock."
Neal said the Tigers coaches made it clear that if Neal were to end up on the Plains he would every opportunity to earn early playing time.
"They said they definitely give freshman the chance to show what they can do," Neal said. "They like to put the ball in the air, too, and they told me if I came to Auburn I'll have a chance to show my talents as a freshman if I come in ready to work."
Neal visited Auburn last spring, but said he hopes to get back to campus soon. As for the school he's committed to, he said nothing has changed.
"I've been talking to the coaching staff here and there," Neal said. "I talk to Coach Ward and Coach Spurrier but I haven't been up there recently."
Georgia, the school closest to Neal's hometown, recently offered his teammate Chauncey Rivers, but has yet to do the same for him. He said he's going to remain patient.
"I'm still waiting," Neal said. "Coach Ball has just been telling me he likes and he'll be by to see me again soon. I'm just waiting and seeing what happens."
While he waits Neal won't have to worry about staying busy as he said he plans on visiting Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia in the coming months.
