Auburn next visit for Georgia RB

Duluth, Ga., running back Kennard Reeves has taken in camps at Georgia and Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-0, 181-pounder is particularly intrigued by one of those schools.
"Vanderbilt seems to have the most interest right now," he said. "I like the coaches there because they are really honest with you about how they feel. They'll tell you straight up if they're interested or not. Coach Kain is really cool and I like their running back coach a lot too. The school is really homey and it's not too busy around the campus which was nice."

Reeves is looking at heading next to Auburn on July 16th.
"Auburn asked me to come up for the one day camp and I want to meet more of the coaches and give them a better look at me," he said. "I did really well at our passing league and they asked me to come back to get a better look. Auburn and Georgia Tech are really close to home and convenient. They are also both really good running back schools."
Besides Auburn, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt, Reeves is looking hard at Central Florida, Boston College and Wofford.
"I've been on Central Florida's website, but I haven't visited them yet," he said. "The campus looks really nice and they've got nice tropical weather down there, so there's no worry about playing in the cold. Boston College and Wofford are both really good academic schools and I've got pretty good grades as a student athlete."
Despite receiving interest, Reeves hasn't gotten an offer. When is the running back looking to decide once the offers roll in?
"I'm probably going to decide by January, that's like the last deadline for me when I want to make sure I'm done by." he said. "I'd like to know where I'm going by then, but I always like to keep my options open."
Last season Reeves had limited carries backing up a senior running back.
"I didn't get the ball much, but I averaged 7.0 yards a carry with about eight runs a game," he said. "The rest of the time I was blocking or playing defense. This year is my year; I use vision and shiftiness although I'm looking to get more powerful so that I can run over the competition. I'm already an elusive cutback runner and I'm looking to get my speed down to around 4.45-seconds."
Reeves has a solid 1,200 SAT.
