Coaching changes always have a big affect on potential recruits. Jahmere Irvin-Sills is definitely feeling the affects. With Gene Chizik not at the helm and uncertainty surrounding the program, the cornerback from Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy is not sure Auburn is the place for him.
"I guess I thought it would happen because of the season they had," said the 5-foot-10, 173-pound Irvin-Sills. "I guess they have to do what they have to do. For me, my recruitment is open right now."
Irvin-Sills had over ten offers before he committed to the Tiger but, now that he has officially de-committed, what schools are on his short list?
"I'm going to look at other schools, probably Ole Miss and West Virginia," explained Irvin-Sills. "Robert Nkemdiche looking at Ole Miss isn't affecting me, I've never really had any contact with him but I like Ole Miss.
"I was always pretty high on West Virginia," said the three-star recruit. "I took a couple visits and saw a few games. I like the atmosphere and the fans are nice. "
Even though he has de-committed, Irvin-Sills has not completely eliminated the Tigers.
Irvin-Sills has not planned any visits and has not set a timetable for making a commitment.
