Auburn commit to take other trips

With all of the controversy surrounding the coaching situation at Auburn the last few weeks, it was expected that it would have cause a few speed bumps in the road for the Tigers when it comes to recruiting.
One of those bumps now approaching involves Dalton, Ga., three-star offensive center Cameron Mayo.

According to his father, Bill Mayo, the 6-foot-5, 258-pound Mayo has lined up four official visits.
“He’s going to visit Ole Miss on December 12, Clemson on January 9, Auburn on January 16 and then Tennessee on January 23,” his father said. “He went to practice in Knoxville last week and he had a very good visit with coach Fulmer and coach Stevens.”
Bill Mayo was an All-American offensive lineman for Tennessee from 1980-84, but it’s the crazy past few weeks at Auburn that has caused his son to open things back up.
“I think with all the turmoil at Auburn he just wants to look around and make sure he is making the best decision,” his father said.
Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt have offered Mayo a scholarship. Mayo is ranked as the nation's NO. 6 offensive center by Rivals.com
