Auburn back in on Tennessee DB

Bells (Tenn.) safety Earnest Williams is expected to choose between three schools on signing day, according to the Crockett County staff.
“He’s down to Memphis, Ole Miss and Auburn,” said Crockett County assistant coach Andy Brady. “I think it was Memphis and Ole Miss up until lately, and Auburn had kind of backed off of him. But the last week or two, they’ve come back on him strong and made it a little tougher decision.”

Williams made official visits to both Memphis and Ole Miss. He did not get an opportunity to make one to Auburn, but Brady noted that he had an unofficial visit to the Plains earlier this season for one of the Tigers’ games.
Williams (6-0, 186, 4.5) earned Class 3A Back of the Year honors after rushing for 1,630 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior. He also recorded 53 tackles and five interceptions.
