Auburn back in mix for Louisiana TE

Auburn has re-entered the picture for three-star Harvey (La.) West Jefferson tight end Jeremy Jones.
Jones (6-5, 285, 4.8) appeared to have dropped the Tigers from his list recently, but is now ready to take a trip to the Plains after all.

“He is visiting Auburn this weekend,” West Jefferson coach Hank Tierney said. “What he wound up doing was just switching the LSU and Auburn dates. We thought for a while there that he may have dropped Auburn, but they’ve stayed on him and have convinced him to come and see what they have to offer.”
LSU is still believed to be the leader.
“He said he had a great visit to with LSU. Everything went well there,” Tierney said. “I think they’re still in the lead, but you never know with kids. I’ve been in this too long and seen too many guys change their mind from one day to another. You can’t really count on anything until they sign.”
Jones is expected to make his decision early next week after the Auburn visit. He had also visited Alabama and Mississippi State.
