Auburn, Alabama and FSU stand out to Williams

Seth Williams ()

Class-of-2018 wide receiver Seth Williams lists six scholarship offers, but he doesn’t expect anyone to believe that all six schools stand on level footing.

The Cottondale (Ala.) Paul Bryant High School standout doesn’t use the word “favorites” when he discusses his recruitment, but it’s clear which programs have the early edge.

“I’m liking Florida State, Alabama and Auburn right now,” Williams said.

The junior-to-be has set no timetable, rough or otherwise, for a commitment. And so Williams will continue to travel. Next up on his visit list is one of the schools in which he’s most interested.

“I have an Auburn visit coming up and I might go down to South Alabama.”

IN HIS WORDS: “Tennessee is the one [offer] I want. Just that one, really. That’s just a receiver school and I like the offense.”

RIVALS REACTION: Pulling Williams out of Alabama will be difficult. Should both in-state schools pursue Williams until the end, it’s hard to imagine a situation in which Williams crosses the border of his home state for college.
