Attention grows for Creer

Things continue to heat up in the recruitment of Tatum, Texas running back Lennon Creer.
The highly touted 6-foot-1, 190-pounder has recently added a new scholarship offer but still maintains that his leader is the same with Texas. In fact, with college coaches being allowed to start making calls, it was no surprise who was the first to dial him up.

"Yeah, coach Ken Rucker from Texas called me already," Creer said. "He's been the only one that's called so far. It was just the usual stuff. He just told me about the program some more and how they want me to come down there."
Creer also mentioned that he's been given a deadline by the Texas coaches to decide before they move forward in their recruitment of another prospect.
"June 4 is what the told me," Creer said about the date UT has given him. "I don't know if I'll be ready, but I've already kind of thought I'll have a decision by late May or early June if possible anyway."
The Horns continue to lead the way.
"It's just the atmosphere, for one, that I like so much," Creer said. "They have a good team and their coaches are just great people. It's like one big family that they have down there. Plus, coach Rucker is a good person and I've formed a relationship with him."
Towards the end of April, another offer came in from Miami.
"I'll probably go there for a visit and LSU if I can," Creer said. "I can't tell you the exact date when they offered, but it came in the mail towards the end of last month. It was great, I was pretty excited."
Creer is being recruited by Hurricane coach Todd Berry.
