Attention finds Rivals250 RB

Cedar Hill (Texas) 2017 Rivals250 all-purpose back Kaegun Williams rushed for over 1500 yards each of the last two years at Stephenville High School, and he is preparing to do more of the same at Cedar Hill.
College coaches have already taken notice with scholarship offers already arriving from SMU and Tulsa.

"What stands out about Tulsa is actually my head coach from Stephenville just took a job up there, so I thought that was kind of special," Williams said. "And I know the head coach now, coach Montgomery, I know him pretty well.
"I was surprised with the SMU one. I didn't really know about that one, but now I know a lot of the coaches there. They're good coaches and going to step up the program."
Oklahoma and Stanford have also shown considerable interest, and while he will not be able to attend, he was invited to attend the Texas Under the Lights camp.
Williams has not been able to attend any camps this summer, but he does plan to check out a few colleges in the fall.
"During the season I'm going to take some visits - Baylor, TCU, Kansas, Oklahoma, SMU, Tulsa," Williams said.
The recruiting process is just beginning for Williams, but he does admit a few colleges have caught his attention at this early point.
"I really like Baylor because my quarterback (Jarrett Stidham) just went there, and I like Oregon a lot because they're just fast," Williams said. "Stanford, I want to go beyond just football so school-wise that would be a good school for me."
Williams is currently ranked No. 117 in the Rivals100, No. 17 in the Rivals.com Texas Initial Top 80 for 2017, and No. 5 among the nation's 2017 all-purpose backs.
