Attention arrives for Clarke

Jefferson (La.) Riverdale 2017 linebacker Josh Clarke has received scholarship offers from Arizona State, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Georgia, Idaho, ULL, and Tulane, and the interest continued on September 1 as college coaches began to reach out to top junior prospects.
"Northwestern, Ohio State, Notre Dame, a lot of Ole Miss. I've heard a lot of Ole Miss," Clarke said naming the college programs in contact with him throughout the day. "TCU, a lot of Purdue, a lot of Arizona State, Georgia, OU, and ULL."

One program was a little more active than the rest though.
"The most aggressive today would probably be Ole Miss," Clarke said. "Yeah, they've been on me a lot today. They've been sending me pictures or edits with me in it. One of their coaches said they are proud and happy they can finally build a relationship with me. Stuff like that. Things like they're happy they can finally talk to me."
All in all it was an exciting day, and Clarke cannot wait to see what the future holds.
"It's really just a blessing to know all these schools are looking at me," Clarke said. "It's just showing that all my hard work is paying off now."
As the college football season begins, Clarke knows he would like to visit a few college campuses.
"I know I'm going to a lot of games this year," Clarke said. "Unofficially I know I'm going to be visiting Texas A&M, LSU, Florida State, ASU, and Ole Miss."
Clarke is currently ranked a 5.6, three-star prospect, and he is No. 15 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Initial Top 15 for 2017.
