When three-star Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove quarterback Jelani Woods committed to Oklahoma State earlier this spring, he did so with the expectation of only getting to interact with his future coaches on the field when he visits campus this summer. But on Thursday, just 20 minutes from his Atlanta area home, Woods was working side-by-side with his Cowboys offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich.

The Oklahoma State offensive coordinator was one of several coaches participating in a satellite camp that was billed as a "Michigan-Georgia" event, but for Woods the event was all about his future position coach.

"It was awesome being able to work with coach like that," Woods said. "Just by working with him and he giving me great advice on what I need to work on make me really want to be back in Stillwater"

During the quarterback breakout session Yurcich was working with every quarterback, but it's clear he took a special interest in Woods, offering tips and suggestions throughout the day.

Woods said following Thursday's camp, he has a new appreciation for satellite camps and how they benefit prospects.

"It's not all the time you will have to chance to travel to the school you desire," Woods said. "This camp helped expose more kids to different coaches around country."
