"The Miami one really surprised me. They visited earlier today and I know they need corners. They were there at practice and I had a good practice. I mean I shut down everyone today. Then they offered. Miami is up there. They are a prestigious program and it would greatly benefit me to go there because Miami can open up doors for me. They have put a ton of guys in the NFL and I am trying to get to the league.
"North Carolina came by yesterday and I talked with coach (John) Blake today. He said the paperwork (offer letter) is on its way. They are in the ACC and I feel I can shine there. I have always paid attention to UNC but now I will really look into them."
According to Robinson, USF, UCF, Duke, East Carolina, Southern Miss, Toledo, and Middle Tennessee State have also offered.
"Right now my top five would be Miami, North Carolina, South Florida, UCF and Duke. I am pretty open."
So far Robinson has visited Alabama, Auburn, USF, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Duke. He says that Alabama, Georgia Tech, Stanford and UCLA are actively recruiting him but have not yet offered.
This past season as a junior Robinson recorded 42 tackles, three interceptions (returned for a score) and 10 pass breakups.
"I have good cover skills and can jam a receiver at the line. I also have good speed and lots of confidence. You have to be very confident to play this position."
Robinson carries a 3.5 grade point average.
