ATL star has SEC favorite

Atlanta (Ga.) Booker T. Washington outside linebacker/defensive end Andre Wicker has flown somewhat under the radar for some of the recruiting process, but he is an extremely gifted athlete who has picked a list of impressive scholarship offers.
"I have offers from South Carolina, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Ohio, Arkansas, Oregon, LSU, Memphis, Indiana, Oklahoma, Auburn and Louisville," Wicker said. "I have had some other schools recruiting me and a whole lot of schools came by in the spring to see me and Reshad."

The 6-foot-0, 221-pound Wicker attended the NIKE camp in Athens. He runs a 4.8 second 40-yard dash, a 4.37 second shuttle, has a 27-inch vertical jump and did 18 reps on the bench press.
One school that has always done well in recruiting Booker T. Washington is the Arkansas Razorbacks, thus it shouldn't come as a shock that they lead for his services.
"Arkansas is my leader," Wicker said. "I really like the coaching staff there and feel comfortable with them. Michael Bibbs signed with them last year and it would be good to play with him again. That is a really good program, but I do still need to look at the depth charts more closely."
While Hogs do have a lead it certainly isn't a commanding one and they face some stiff competition for Wickers services.
"I also really like Mississippi State, Louisville and Oklahoma," Wicker said. "I am going to go out to Oklahoma for a camp I think and I will probably take an official visit there. Duke (Robinson) signed with them last year and it would be cool to play with him again."
As a junior Wicker racked up 60 tackles, 11 sacks and two tackles for loss en route to leading his team to a class 4A quarter-final appearance.
"I will be looking at schools academic programs first," Wicker said. "I will be looking really closely at the depth charts of certain schools and how I feel about the coaching staff. Reshad and I have talked about it and we would like to go to the same place if possible."
