Athletic OL has schools impressed

One of Maryland's top offensive linemen is receiving letters from schools all over the east coast, and it's no surprise why. With good athleticism and versatility, he's sure to be on several school's recruiting boards.
Offensive tackle Daniel Bridges, a 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman from Union Bridge (Md.) Francis Scott Key runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds and does a lot of things on the field.

"My biggest assets are probably my flexibility and athleticism," he said. "I'm pretty fast for an offensive lineman, and I have good quickness too. I play offensive line, and defensive tackle and end on defense at times, so I'm able to do a lot of things on the field. I'm very coachable, and just willing to contribute in whatever way the coaches want me to."
Bridges grew up following Penn State and Maryland, and both schools are showing early interest. He's also hearing from Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Marshall, Georgetown and others. What is he looking for in a college?
"Academics will be my No. 1 priority," he said. "That's the biggest thing for me. I'm looking for a place with small classes, so if I need help I'll be able to get that individual attention. I'm keeping my options open at this point."
As a junior Bridges graded out well at offensive tackle and recorded three sacks on defense. He was named all-conference, all-county and 2nd team all-state.
