Athlete now has nine offers

One particular school seems to have the upper hand in getting a commitment from Deandre Jackson.
"West Virginia is recruiting the hardest with the most mail and that's where I'd commit if today was signing day," Jackson said. "The actual decision will be made before signing day. Right now I'm keeping all my options open."

He has other reasons for liking West Virginia more than the other schools.
"The coach from West Virginia is cool and I have friends going there," he said. "I'm going to camp there Friday, but there's no chance of an early commitment at the camp."
He has eight other written scholarship offers besides West Virginia and an early decision is not likely.
"I've got offers from West Virginia, Baylor, TCU, SMU, Tulane, Colorado, Arizona, Louisville and Texas A&M," the 6-foot-0, 180 pound athlete from Garland, Texas said. "I want to get my options open until I make my visits at least."
Last year as a junior he was injured for most of the year, but his speed has attracted colleges.
