Athlete has good bloodlines

Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft is home for a quarterback to remember in Josh Portis (6-4, 190, 4.57) and another player from Troy Starr’s program to keep a tab on is athlete/wide receiver Jason Haywood (6-3, 170, 4.5).
Haywood was a jack-of-all-trades player on defense in 2003.

“I played middle linebacker, outside linebacker and a lot of free safety,” Haywood said. “I basically was moved all over the place.”
According to Haywood he was League Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 53 tackles and five picks. A playmaker, Haywood scored two defensive touchdowns as a junior.
What does Haywood want in a college?
“Good academics are key,” Haywood said. “So is a good, solid football program.”
Haywood is known as hard working and dedicated. He does whatever is asked of and he’s a great teammate. It is all about the team for Haywood.
Whenever Haywood is needed, he shows up.
Haywood also has great bloodlines; his brother is former K State wide receiver and now Seattle Seahawk Taco Wallace.
“Jason has a great attitude and work ethic,” Taft head coach Troy Starr said. “He has natural football instincts.”
“Physically, Jason is still growing,” Starr said. “He already has good height, but he’s going to fill out to about 205-pounds before he’s through.”
Haywood has received early letters from Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Syracuse, Texas, and his brother’s alma mater Kansas State.
