Junior to Watch: Adam Brekke
School: Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls

Position: Athlete
Size and speed: Adam Brekke is 6–foot-0 and 205 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.6 seconds.
Statistics: His team plays a rotation, and he was injured for five games, but he still managed to complete 13 passes of 25 attempts for 150 yards and four touchdowns. He did have two interceptions too. He rushed 25 times for approximately 200 yards.
Honors: He received all-district recognition as a junior.
Favorite Schools: He's hearing from "Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, Miami, Tulsa, Tulane, Rice and others."
"TCU is recruiting the hardest."
When asked about a favorite, he said, "I don't want to think about it right now."
He'd like to assign his official visits to:
Texas: "My dream school: I've always been a long time fan of theirs. I have older friends there and lots of connections with the school."
Rice: "They have good academics. They're interested in me, and I think I would be a good fit in their offense."
TCU: "I have friends there, and I was impressed with the other recruits on my unofficial on an April 13th visit. They were the first visit I ever made."
Oklahoma: "Their reputation speaks for them."
Texas A&M: "Playing in Texas for a Texas university would be an honor."
Skinny: He does about everything for Cypress High School. He plays quarterback, fullback, receiver, safety, linebacker, and punter when needed.
In one game last year, Adam Brekke emerged as the star of the game. Brekke, an option specialist, led Cy-Falls’ first two touchdown drives in the second half. He finished with 42 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.
"My running ability, leadership and agility are my advantage, so they would be my strong points."
He described himself as a hard hitting, cerebral type player, while comparing his style of play to Kordell Stewart of Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I would rather stay in the south, but for the right offer, I'd go just about anywhere."
"I'll be looking at academic reputation, location, and more playing time over the ranking of the program as factors in my decision."
He plans to attend camps at Oklahoma and TCU this summer.
He would like to major in pre-med or political science. He has set his sports goals as making first team all-district and the state playoffs.
He benches 250 pounds, squats 465 pounds, and he has a 29 inch vertical leap.
He will have no problem qualifying academically. He has a 6.48 cumulative GPA on a 6.0 scale, and he had a PSAT score of 1330.
