ATH sort of committed

Is he or isn’t he? That’s the question of the hour concerning Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial athlete Calvin Roberts. Is he or isn’t he committed to Oklahoma State?
“I’m sort of committed,” Roberts, who is 6-foot and 190 pounds, said. “I told Oklahoma State that I wanted to come, but I still wanted to visit LSU next weekend. I don’t think they consider you committed until you stop taking visits.

“So I guess I’m sort of committed.”
Sort of committed is better than not committed if you’re an Oklahoma State fan. The Cowboys have made up a lot of ground with Roberts in the past few weeks.
“They have always been there recruiting me hard, but I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did,” he said. “I think I could go up there and have a shot at playing pretty quickly at quarterback. They don’t have a whole lot of depth, there.”
That’s what he said about Nebraska a few weeks ago, when he was reported by some sources to be a Husker commit.
“I never committed to them but I was leaning toward them,” he said. “They’re still on my list, but I’d put them behind Oklahoma State and maybe behind LSU. I still have to see them next weekend.”
Roberts said he was unaware if teammate – running back James Johnson – made a commitment this weekend to OSU.
