ATH Shaw has a leader

Piscataway, N.J. athlete Tevin Shaw claims five scholarships at this time. A few other schools are monitoring the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder. Does he have any favorites?
"I have five offers right now from Temple, South Carolina, Towson, Akron and Iowa," he said. "We're trying to schedule my visits towards the end of the season or after.

"I haven't really decided on the visits yet."
In the meantime, a few other schools are watching.
"I've talked to Maryland, Georgia Tech and Michigan State. They are interested," he said. "Michigan State wants to see a couple games, Georgia Tech wants my academic standing a little higher and Maryland said they like what they've seen so far."
Does Shaw like anyone?
"It's kind of hard, I like all of them, but I like Iowa," he said. "I guess I've had the most contact with them and I've looked into them the most."
With recruiting starting to pick up, Shaw is looking for a few things.
"Above all, I want a place I feel comfortable. I want somewhere I can spend the next four years of my life. I also want a place with my major, I want to major in business."
To date, Shaw and Piscataway are 2-2 on the year, but the tailback has approximately 500-yards rushing and seven touchdowns.
"I'm doing alright," he said. "My IQ on the field is better. I guess I've improved more of the mental part of the game."
