ATH Reid is up to eight offers

Offers continue to pile up for Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy athlete Albert Reid. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder discussed the latest offers and his visit plans for the near future.
"Iowa and Cincinnati are my two new offers," he said. "Both are pretty big offers.

"I really don't know much about them. I know of them and I hear good things about both of them. I know Marcus Coker from DeMatha goes to Iowa. I played against him in high school. I really don't know much else about them. I'm very excited by the offers."
Reid hasn't yet visited schools this summer, but plans to this week.
"I'm going to take a couple visits," he said. "I'm not sure where I'll be going, but I know Vanderbilt is on Thursday and most likely I'll drive down to West Virginia after that. I plan to go to Maryland's one-day camp, Rutgers for 7-on-7 and maybe Boston College.
"I'm just hoping all these schools treat me well and I can see a family environment. I want to see how they run things down their and what it'll be like."
With eight offers in hand, Reid is starting to consider a decision.
"Actually, maybe by the end of the summer or before the season starts I may make my decision, but I'm still open and don't really have an order."
Though he's getting consideration both ways, Reid favors one side of the ball more.
"Two schools, Vanderbilt and Duke are looking at me for defense, all the others are running back. I prefer running back, but I'm not sure which one I'll be doing in college."
