In mid-December, Shelby, North Carolina safety Larry Raper announced that he had narrowed his focus to four schools. That much hasn't changed, but is he any closer to a decision?
While Raper didn't turn in a great performance at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas he is still a highly-touted prospect and one of the best still on the board from his state.
A few weeks ago he narrowed his list to North Carolina, South Carolina, Clemson and NC State. All of those schools except UNC has offered. Is that still where things stand?
"Yes, it's those four," Raper said, before he went on to rate UNC and South Carolina above the other two. "I haven't set up any visits yet but those are the ones I want to visit. I went to games at all of them this year. I like them because they're close to the area and good schools."
Raper is very familiar with each of the four programs remaining on his list, so it will not be surprising if he elects to scale his schedule back and pass on some of those visits.
Raper said those schools had told him they would give him a look at wide receiver if he were to sign with them.
