ATH Person gaining steam

One of the future stars in the state of North Carolina is Ricky Person. The 2018 athlete from Franklinton, N.C. is starting to pile up offers. Duke, N.C. State and Charlotte have already extended offers.

WHAT'S NEXT?: While Person does not have any visits planned right now, look for him to schedule a trip to Clemson some time in the not too distant future.

IN HIS WORDS: "When I went to Duke, the running backs coach that I talked to was really cool," said the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Person. "Coach Boyette and me and the safeties coach had a really good conversation. They said they liked how I played. I talked to the entire coaching staff and it was like they knew me already. I even got a chance to talk to coach Cutcliffe and that was really good.

"I really like the Wolfpack because I have family members that go there," he said. "I know coach Kitchings too. He came to one of my games. We talked on the phone and had a good conversation. I really like N.C. State and their campus. They have the major that I want right now."

RIVALS' REACTION: It's very early for Person but his comments on N.C. State should be encouraging for Wolfpack fans. Clemson seemed like a school he is intrigued by so that could be a big offer for him down the line.
