ATH Morgan has a favorite

Athlete Davon Morgan out of Richmond (Va.) Varina holds two scholarship offers at this time. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder appears to have one school standing out from the pack in the early going of recruiting.
"He's got written offers from Michigan and Virginia Tech and then quite a few other schools are very interested," he said. "I think he'll be just as highly recruited as Brandon Minor was last year and we're doing our best to keep him level headed.

"I think at the moment Virginia Tech is his favorite. He's known all the coaches for a while that are still up there especially while they were recruiting Brandon. He's been up there a few times and even went to Blacksburg a few weeks ago to hang out with Macho Harris because he's good friends with him."
The all-district and all-region prospect accounted for nine interceptions, 1,900 yards of offense and 27 touchdowns.
"He is one of the hardest working young men we've ever had at Varina and is a student of the game. He looks at film as much as the coaches do and actually is looking at tapes this spring to improve on himself," he said. "After Michael Robinson, he is the next best quarterback leader we've had here and demands respect from everybody.
"Most likely in college he'll be a safety. He reminds me a lot of Anthony Poindexter too being the type of athlete he is."
This summer Morgan is looking to head to the Nike Camp at Penn State along with a team summer camp at West Virginia.
