John Jackson landed a major Big 10 offer in recent days and now the three-star receiver has an official visit scheduled to that school.

The Gardena (Calif.) Serra standout received his latest offer from Wisconsin and after watching the Badgers closely this season there is significant interest in the Big 10 power.

Jackson, whose father played at USC, is planning to visit Madison the weekend of Jan. 19.

“I think very highly of them especially after this really successfully season they had,” Jackson said.

“I was on the phone with the wide receivers coach and he let me know I have an offer there so it was good hearing that.”

The only other visit Jackson has scheduled so far is to UCLA for the weekend of Jan. 26 as his interest in the Bruins continues to stay high especially with coach Chip Kelly taking over.

Those are not the only two schools seriously involved. Earlier this week the three-star receiver had an excellent in-home visit with Illinois and the struggling Big 10 team cannot be counted out yet, either.

So far, Jackson has landed offers from Boston College, BYU, Illinois, Navy, Oregon, San Jose State, Tennessee, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

In his senior season, the Serra standout finished with a team-high 63 receptions for 573 yards and two touchdowns.
