ATH heating up

Temple is the newest of New Canaan (Conn.) St. Luke's junior athlete Jacob Morgenstern's five offers.
"It was funny because a few months ago coach Thomas told me that he talked to the Temple coach and coach asked if there are any gems that stand out or anything like that," said the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Morgenstern. "After a couple of months, I had not really heard back from them and I had not thought about it too much. The offer was out of nowhere and it turned my whole day around. I was just ecstatic and feeling great at the end of the day.

"My Uncle is actually a pretty big fan and I know that they turned it around this year," he said. "They had a really good year. I know that it's a good school and it's near my family, so that's something I'm going to definitely have to take into consideration. They are going to tell me more about the school on Junior Day."
Morgenstern has been talking to seven schools a lot lately.
"Princeton has been talking to me pretty consistently and they have been sending me some stuff," Morgenstern said. "Penn State has been showing a lot of interest, Connecticut and Northwestern I visited a few weeks ago. Maryland has been talking to me recently and Rutgers has as well. Duke is in there as well and they visited a couple of weeks ago."
Morgenstern does not have a favorite school right now. He really likes seven schools.
"The ones that stand out to me are Yale and Princeton of course because of the education and is an Ivy League school," he said. "Definitely Boston College, UConn because it's close and Rutgers as well. Penn State has showed a lot of love and as well as Duke."
Last season Morgenstern amassed over 1,00 total yards and scored 17 total touchdowns while making 65 tackles.
