ATH Harris visits two in the ACC

Chesterfield (Va.) L.C. Bird athlete Anthony Harris made two unofficial visits over the past few days. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder stopped at two ACC schools.
"I went to Maryland on Thursday and then went to Virginia on yesterday," he said. "I visited Virginia earlier in the week as well."

Harris touched on Maryland first.
"It was a good visit," he said. "It was actually my first time seeing the campus as far as the dorms and college. I watched them scrimmage a bit and they have a lot of talent out there. I got a chance to meet some of the coaches and check out the facilities.
"I talked to Coach Brown and Coach Friedgen. They talked about football and how hard they are working and the whole process of trying to get me up there."
The Terrapins are eyeing Harris as a defensive back, what did he think of their secondary?
"They play very physical and had some size in the secondary, as far as the safety position goes."
Meanwhile, what about the visit to Charlottesville?
"It was a little bit different as far as the campus setup," he said. "Virginia is a bit more spaced out.
"The coaches talked to me there. I sat down and had a conversation with them. I think they have a very versatile staff. I had a quick conversation with Coach London. He's a very genuine, well-spoken person."
Harris maintains four offers from Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Richmond.
Are any other trips coming up?
"I'm talking about a visit to West Virginia, but I'm not sure how soon that'll be. It probably won't be until the summer," he said. "I may take another visit up to Maryland to watch them practice, I want to see how Coach Brown runs a practice."
In the meantime, Harris is still recovering from an injury at the end of last season.
"I'm at about 80 or 85%," he said. "The therapy process will still be for awhile, but I was cleared last week to actually work out again."
