ATH Furman holds two offers

Millersville (Md.) Old Mill athlete Josh Furman has pulled in his first two scholarships. According to his father Tyrone, plenty of other interest is coming for the 6-foot-2, 200-pounder.
"He's got one offer from Maryland and another from West Virginia," Tyrone Furman said of his son's recruitment, athlete Josh Furman. "I think Maryland offered two weeks ago and West Virginia this past Saturday.

"Pittsburgh is heavily recruiting him and he's going there this weekend."
What does Furman think of the offers?
"You know, this has been a long time coming for Josh," he said. "He felt he was just as good as a lot of the players in the Crab Bowl. He's very excited about the scholarships and Maryland being the first since I'm an alumnus.
"He really enjoyed West Virginia. They gave a real personal touch. He was there with 11 other guys and met with Coach Casteel."
Plenty of other schools including Alabama, LSU, Boston College, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Stanford, Kentucky, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Connecticut are interested as well.
Does Furman like anybody?
"He's a fan of the SEC," his dad said. "He loves Florida, LSU and Alabama. He plays those in video games and watches on TV. He's heard stories about football down south. I think he loves the competition and intensity. He wants to be around the best."
Furman posted 796-yards rushing with 14 touchdowns and added 87 tackles, 25 for loss, eight sacks, two blocked punts and four forced fumbles on the year.
Furman is also a talented track athlete.
