ATH Davis Reacts To Spurriers Choice

For one recruit, the Steve Spurrier announcement might have made a huge impact. St. Petersburg (Fla.) athlete/quarterback Chris Davis said, "Coach Spurrier leaving will have a big effect on where I might go. He was the main reason I was considering Florida. I'm not saying I won't go there but it will make a difference in my decision."

The 6-foot, 170-pounder says he still hasn't scheduled all of his visits just yet

"I'm still waiting on some coaches to call me and set something up,” he said. “So far I only have South Florida scheduled and that’s this weekend."

Davis has already visited Boston College on Aug. 17 and Florida on Dec. 14. He still lists Florida State, Miami, South Carolina and Southern California as possible visits.
