"I've talked to their coaches and they seem like cool coaches. Also, I like the offense and style of play they have."
The Pirates are far from the only school interested as Cooper visited NC State last Saturday and has Connecticut and Virginia Tech checking him out.
With interest rising, what is Cooper looking for in a school?
"Early playing time and just a good academic school," he stated. "I just want to get on the field."
Cooper busted out for Havelock this past season posted 65 receptions for 1,300-yards and 14 touchdowns. He added 500 yards on punt returns and 40 tackles along with six interceptions. The big year netted him numerous awards including all-area, all-conference and first team all-state honors.
