FONTANA, Calif. - Cameron Wiley has a dream school - and he hopes to land an offer especially if he camps this summer.

Florida is the top team for the Las Vegas Desert Pines standout and he already knows a whole lot about the Gators.

“Mostly because my family is from Florida,” Wiley said last weekend at the Passing Down Inland Empire Regional.

“I’ve been out there a whole bunch of times. I just felt the vibe when I went out there. I’ve been to the school and the stadium, it’s a wonderful atmosphere. The players are cool, the coaches are respectful.”

So far, the three-star athlete who could play running back or defensive back has landed offers from Arizona and Kansas. Colorado, Utah, BYU, Oregon, Arizona State and Hawaii among others have been showing interest.

There could be particular interest in the Wildcats since he’s been to Tucson numerous times and has started to build a relationship with the new coaching staff.

“They actually came up to the school and met with all the players, talked to me and said they’re going to keep the same offer that stands with me,” Wiley said.

“I’ve actually taken two visits there. I took one last summer in my sophomore year, took a tour and it was a very good experience. I met all the coaches and they introduced me to some players, felt welcomed in and it felt like home.”
