ATH Brown wraps up a big senior year

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High athlete Charles Brown wrapped his senior year with a humongous performance. The 5-foot-10, 198-pounder is hoping the big year helps him more on the recruiting trail.
"Our season is over with, we finished 5-5," he said. "I had some great games at the end. In the last game I ran for 353-yards rushing and four touchdowns in a loss.

"I finished the year with 226 carries for 1,883-yards and 24 total touchdowns. I had to prove some people wrong and show them I could do it. I saw a big improvement this year. I stayed focus and didn't worry about winning or losing. I just did what I have to do."
On the recruiting front, Brown holds a number of offers including Akron, Kansas State, Kent State, New Mexico, Northeastern and South Carlina State.
"I'm about to send my highlight tape out this week," he said. "Kent State wants to see it as does Connecticut. That's all I know of now."
At last check Brown had a visit scheduled to New Mexico next month in December. Is that still on?
"I haven't talked to them about the visit much recently, so I don't know. I'm still debating on my officials, I'm thinking about whether I'll take one out to Kansas State."
The two-star prospect maintains no favorites.
"It's still too hard to say right now. I'm just staying focused and letting everything come into place."
