ATH Brown starts to take visits

Richmond (Va.) Hermitage athlete Brian Brown took a visit to one of his three offers recently. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is starting to consider official visits as well.
"I just got back from Richmond," he said. "I went to see them play against Old Dominion.

"You know, I liked it. The coaches seemed pretty cool and relaxed. I like it there. I talked to the head coach, Coach Rocco. It wasn't my first time talking to him, but he was a pretty cool guy. He took me through the process if I were to commit or take an official."
Brown holds offers from Richmond, East Carolina and Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile, Brown is mulling an official.
"I plan to take an official visit to Pittsburgh, but I haven't set a date yet," he said. "I plan to take my officials after the season."
Still, Brown has an idea of what he's looking for whenever that trip occurs.
"I just want to see how the life of a student athlete would be," he stated. "When I went there, I got to see everything from a fan point of view. I would like to see the college and what student athlete life would be like."
Though East Carolina has an offer out, Brown noted he hasn't heard as much from them recently.
One new school has started to move in though in Marshall.
"Marshall has shown an interest in me," he said. "They came by practice the other day and I'm talking to them now since they can call."
On the field, Brown has helped Hermitage to a 6-0 record.
"We're doing pretty well, we're undefeated so far," he said. "I feel like I'm doing pretty good too.
"I'm playing both ways and I can tell that I'm seeing things differently on the field than I would have last year."
A versatile threat, Brown is getting looks on both sides of the ball, Richmond and Marshall at wide receiver, East Carolina and Pittsburgh at free safety. However, Brown claims he has no preference on what position he would like to play at the next level.
