ATH Bond names five officials

Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County athlete LaMarcus Bond has named his five schools for official visits. Who does the 5-foot-8, 174-pounder with 4.4-second speed plan to see?
"I haven't set dates anywhere, but I'm planning to go to North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Miami," he said. "There's no real reason I chose those schools and I don't know too much about them, I just want to visit them. I'll probably visit during the fall."

The three-star prospect is being recruited by all the schools as a wide receiver.
One other school still in the running for Bond is Auburn.
"They're still in it as I talked to their coaches recently."
Bond is already two weeks into the season and has helped Hertford County to a 2-0 start.
"In the first game I scored once and ran six times for 93 yards," he said. "In the second game I scored four times and got an interception. I ran for 173 yards. I wasn't happy after the first game, but everything was just going my way in the second. I scored on a kick return, punt return and two rushing touchdowns. Everyone on our team is getting along great and playing well together."
The No. 9 player in North Carolina accounted for over 1,300 yards and 29 touchdowns last season. Bond went on to be named all-conference, all-area and all-state as a junior.
