Atchison forced to change visit schedule

Copperas Cove, Texas safety Tim Atchison has been working hard ever since the summer to start joining some of the nation's top prospects with scholarship offers. Now with at least seven in hand, things look like they've definitely paid off.
The latest offer has come from Oklahoma State which keeps pushing his total count even higher. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Atchison was also set to make an official visit to Purdue this coming weekend, but has had a change of plans.

"I can't take my visit to Purdue because our coaches want us to stay focused on the season," Atchison said. "So I'm going to wait until after the season to take the trip. I was really interested in making that game. They're not going to let me no matter what, so that's that."
Rescheduling the Purdue visit seems to be a given, and he also mentions that Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech are other possibilities for trips at this time. The new offer definitely has him interested.
"I know they have a good program and I like what they do there," Atchison said about OSU. "I don't know what else to say on them just yet, but I like what I see so far."
Copperas Cove has started off the season well and it's been because of Atchison's defensive performances.
"I think I've been averaging a little bit more than 10 tackles a game," he said. "I've also got two interceptions and one touchdown. We're ranked pretty high since we're 4-0 now."
Atchison is dead set on making his college decision after the season, when he can take his official visits.
