Jarrett Patterson has been landing some major offers in recent weeks.

In the last few days, Michigan became the latest offer for the three-star offensive lineman from Mission Viejo, Calif., and it’s one that cannot be easily dismissed.

Patterson’s high school coach, Bob Johnson, tipped Michigan to the standout lineman last season, he got on the radar and finally the offer came through from the Wolverines.

The three-star prospect is planning a trip to Ann Arbor soon.

“My head coach has a solid relationship with coach Harbaugh and has had interest in me since the end of my junior year,” Patterson said.

“When he saw my first couple games of senior year, coach Harbaugh told my head coach to contact him later in the day. After practice, I spoke to coach Harbaugh over the phone and extended the offer. I was also able to speak with coach (Tim) Drevno.”

Patterson, who has been committed to Arizona State since early August along with Mission Viejo teammate Christian LaValle, said getting to Michigan is now a priority in his recruitment.

“My plans are to look into Michigan and take an official visit there after the season,” Patterson said.

As for other visits, Patterson said trips back to Arizona State and UCLA are also being planned. Mission Viejo enters playoffs this weekend so trips are not expected until after his senior season wraps up.
