ASU commit hearing from others

Three-star cornerback Alex Perry made an early commitment to Arizona State last year, but that hasn't prevented him from staying active with the recruiting process.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman camped with Oklahoma State earlier this summer and picked up an offer from the Cowboys. He also worked out at the USC skills camp and garnered his share of looks during the spring evaluation period.

This coming weekend, though, Perry has plans to visit the Sun Devils to watch the Maroon and Gold camp.
"I've taken a lot of visits out there so I've pretty much seen everything I have to see," Perry said. "My family is going to come out, too, and we're going to spend time together.
"Coach (Chris) Ball is a good coach; I like him a lot. He knows the right guys to get. He has recruited me and he's recruiting my teammate, Bubba Bolden, and he also recruited my older brother."
Though Perry, who is one of the top defensive backs in the region for the 2017 class, has maintained contact with other recruiters, he said his commitment to Arizona State is firm heading into the season.
"It's pretty solid, but now I'm going on more visits and stuff is opening up a little," Perry said. "I'm seeing more schools. I've been staying on the West Coast mostly, but I've also been down to the South a little bit, and I like the whole culture and environment."
Perry added that the USC staff, particularly assistant Keith Heyward, liked what they saw from him at camp last month. He has also been hearing from Tennessee and Washington.
"I'm trying to go out to Tennessee, and go down the south and have those colleges start talking to me more," Perry said. "Hopefully I can do that during the spring next year. If I can, I'd also like to go out to Texas to see ASU against Texas A&M and I would like to get out to some Oklahoma State games, too."
Perry had 46 tackles and an interception as a sophomore last season. Bishop Gorman kicks off the 2015 season on Aug. 29 against Arizona state championship Chandler.
