Asiasi sees recruiting pick up

Devin Asiasi was one of the top underclassmen at the RCS Northern California last weekend and he's already received one offer.
The 2016 prospect from Concord (Calif.) De La Salle recently landed an offer from Washington State but it's to play defensive end and Asiasi admitted on Sunday he would prefer to play tight end in college.

After his showing at the Rivals camp, the De La Salle prospect definitely proved he could be one of the top tight ends in the West for the next recruiting cycle.
"Right now I just got my first offer from Washington State but it was at defensive end," Asiasi said. "I'm just working out at tight end and that's where I prefer to be.
"That was my first position so I really prefer playing there."
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound recruit said he's not well-versed in the Washington State program yet but he has talked to the coaching staff and is definitely interested in learning more.
"I actually don't know too much about them yet," Asiasi said. "I talked to the d-end coach the other day and he was telling me about the program and it seemed like a cool place."
More interest is coming in for Asiasi, who said USC and Oklahoma State are the two other programs getting involved the most.
With so much time left for the 2016 prospect, the De La Salle recruit said he plans to keep all options open throughout the process.
"I'm just keeping it wide open right now," Asiasi said.
