Asiasi books Bama trip

Devin Asiasi is the top tight end in the West and the fifth-best in the 2016 class and he has booked his first official visit. The Concord (Calif.) De La Salle standout will head to Alabama the weekend of Sept. 25 when the Crimson Tide host Louisiana-Monroe. It could be a big one. There are still numerous Pac-12 schools involved in Asiasi's recruitment but Alabama has shot up the charts and has to be considered a serious contender.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Asiasi is probably going to take other official visits and USC, Oregon and UCLA are still very much under consideration. Washington has also been in the mix but it seems like those other Pac-12 programs have made up ground recently. The Alabama visit will be crucial to Asiasi's thinking moving forward as well.
RIVALS' REACTION: There is a growing sense that the Crimson Tide is a major player in Asiasi's recruitment and it's a telling sign that he has booked one official visit so far and it's to Tuscaloosa. There are certainly factors as to why staying in the Pac-12 makes sense, his family would be close being one of them, but Alabama is pushing hard and more could definitely become known especially if he loves his trip to Tuscaloosa in a couple weeks.
